As summer winds down and the busy season settles into a steadier rhythm, we have spent the past month sharpening the tools you rely on every day. From smarter reports and cleaner invoices to a friendlier Booking Engine, this update is all about saving you time and giving you clearer information. Here is what is new in HotelSync.
Calendar
-
Reorder your rate plans You can now set the display order of your rate plans, and that same order carries through to the calendar so your most-used plans appear where you expect them.
-
Clearer calendar highlight When you jump to a reservation from the calendar, the highlight is now black instead of the hard-to-see yellow, and it stays visible three seconds longer.
Yield and revenue management
-
Choose your Yield colors You can now pick your own colors in the Yield view, making it easier to read at a glance and match your own way of working.
-
Consistent Yield date ranges Yield and Yield Rooms now share the same forward date range, so both views look ahead the same distance when you plan pricing.
Reservations and front desk
-
Add more rooms when editing You can now add one or several rooms directly while editing an existing reservation, with availability checked for each room just like when creating a new booking.
-
Child categories per room type You can now set which child categories are allowed in each room type through the advanced room settings, giving you finer control over occupancy rules.
-
Redesigned reservation emails System emails for reservations and offers have a cleaner, clearer layout, including the sales channel and a tidier status label so guests can see at a glance where a booking stands.
-
Copy automatic messages across properties You can now copy your automatic guest messages between multiple properties, so you only need to set them up once.
-
New email shortcuts Automatic guest emails now support room name and property name shortcuts, so your messages personalize themselves automatically.
-
Updated registration card The registration card now shows meal-inclusive prices when price per day is enabled, pulls the board plan from the room, and drops fields you did not need, for a cleaner guest details view.
Payments, advances and invoicing
-
Meal prices follow exchange rates When meal prices are set in your home currency and the exchange rate changes, saving now updates the meal price in the reservation to match your price list, keeping invoices accurate.
-
Reuse payment links safely Once a payment link from a reservation has been used, it cannot be sent again by accident, but you can still manually reactivate sending when needed.
-
Grouped extra services on receipts Extra services now group by category on the printed receipt, making totals easier to read for you and your guests.
-
Company profile invoices The company profile now shows every invoice carrying that company profile, no longer limited to those tied to a specific reservation.
Reporting and analytics
-
Custom date ranges for automatic reports The automatic Board report, Pace report, and Banquet revenue report now support a custom period, so scheduled emails can cover exactly the window you care about.
-
Forward-looking Board report The Board report now offers Next 7 days and Next 10 days views in place of the previous past-period options, keeping your focus on what is coming.
-
Low availability filter The Availability report now includes a checkbox to show only rooms with availability below a number you set, so you can spot tight dates quickly.
-
Sales channel filters You can now filter the Occupancy report and the Housekeeping report by sales channel for more precise insights.
-
POS name in Restaurant Services The Restaurant Services report now includes a POS name column and filter, so you can break results down by point of sale.
-
Debit report status filter The Debit report now lets you filter by reservation or room status, respecting whether you have grouped by reservation or by room.
-
Outstanding Balance improvements The Outstanding Balance report now shares the same starting filters as Debit for easier comparison, adds column sorting, and drops the users section for a cleaner view.
Fiscalization and tax compliance
-
Balance for non-fiscal receipts Non-fiscalized receipts now include a balance summary (payment methods, VAT, and more) just like fiscalized receipts, so every document is easy to reconcile.
-
Certificate check before fiscalization (Montenegro) Before opening the fiscalization dialog, HotelSync now checks whether all charges belong to rooms on the same certificate, and warns you with a confirmation prompt when they do not.
-
Fiscal details on printed receipts (Montenegro) Printed receipts now include the fiscalization time, operator code, and invoice number, so your documents carry the full set of required fiscal information.
-
Automatic report for multiple properties The automatic report for non-fiscalized receipts now supports multiple properties in a single delivery.
Guest registration and experience
-
Custom Spa category names and images You can now edit the name and image of Spa categories shown in the guest app, instead of the fixed default label.
Mobile apps
-
Full restrictions on mobile The mobile app now includes the complete set of restrictions available on the web, so you can manage rates and availability on the go.
-
Reservation total on mobile payments Payments in the mobile app now pull the reservation total the same way the web does, keeping amounts consistent everywhere.
Booking Engine
-
Share your selection Guests can now share a link from the Booking Engine that keeps the current step and their chosen room or rate plan, making it easy to send options to others.
-
Card type validation The Booking Engine now checks the card type (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and others) based on the card number, helping catch entry mistakes early.
Channel Manager and POS
-
Import photos from Booking.com You can now import your property photos from Booking.com, just as you already can from Airbnb.
-
Extra price changes from Channex Modifications coming from Channex now include changes to extra service prices, keeping your charges in sync.
Logs and audit trail
-
Full logging for Expenses Every change in the Expense module is now recorded in the log, giving you a complete audit trail.
Multiproperty, reseller and admin
-
New options on by default The Automatically add new options setting is now enabled by default for users, so newly added options are included without extra steps.
Exports
-
Export the new calendar to Excel You can now export the new calendar directly to Excel for offline planning and sharing.
-
Richer reservation export The reservation export now includes Accommodation, Extras, and City tax revenue columns, plus the cancellation date, for a fuller picture.
-
Export receipts to UBL You can now export invoices to the UBL format from both the fiscalized and non-fiscalized receipt lists.
-
Detailed receipt export When Show services is active, receipt exports now use a quantity times price format with separate columns for total and total VAT, making them easier to work with.
Developer and API
-
Promo codes in getRooms The getRooms request now accepts a promo code parameter and returns the reduced prices when the code is valid, so partners can surface discounted rates.
-
Per-person prices in getRooms The getRooms endpoint now returns per-person prices for each rate plan and room when they are configured.
-
Reservation status on engine inserts Inserting a reservation through the engine now supports a reservation status (confirmed by default, plus pending and offer), so partners can create offers and pending bookings.
